  • Grease a large baking dish with oil. Preheat oven to 180 °.

  • Bring the cream, broth, garlic, nutmeg and half of the cheese to a barely noticeable boil and boil about one third. Remove from heat, add spinach, season with black pepper.

  • Peel the beets and cut into thin circles (about 5 mm). Lay half in layers in a mold, pour half over the cream cheese sauce, repeat the layers of beetroot and sauce. Bake for 45 minutes, sprinkle with the remaining cheese, keep in the oven for another 10-15 minutes – until golden brown and the sauce boils.
