But even the most interesting and unusual combinations cannot spoil the magical taste of mulled wine, which is invariably associated with warmth and comfort.

Recipe 1: Cranberry Mulled Wine

This recipe will come in handy for sophisticated connoisseurs of mulled wine, who, however, are already tired of the familiar taste. Cranberries and a sprig of rosemary will add an incredible aroma and piquant note to the drink, and will also be a great addition to other ingredients that are included in the composition.


• 1 bottle of dry red wine
• ½ glass of water
• ½ cup cranberry juice
• 3-5 tablespoons of sugar (depends on personal preference)
• 20 grams fresh or frozen cranberries
• 50 ml of strong alcohol (cognac / brandy / rum)
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 3-4 stars of anise
• 5-6 peas of allspice
• 5 grains of cardamom
• 6 stars of cloves (you can put a pinch of ground cloves)
• 1 vanilla pod
• ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
• 2 oranges (4-5 small tangerines can be used)

Cooking method:

Remove the peel from the citrus fruits, peel the fruit, squeeze out the juice and mix with the cranberry juice. The next step is to prepare a syrup from water and sugar, which you need to put in a saucepan, put on fire and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then add a mixture of orange and cranberry juice, spices and other ingredients from the list to the container. You do not need to cook the mixture. Simply bring it to a boil over low heat, remove from the stove, cover and let it brew for 7-10 minutes. Strain mulled wine and pour into glasses before serving. Decorate each with a sprig of rosemary and a few cranberries after placing them on a canapé skewer. If among the ingredients there are those that you do not like (for example, cinnamon or vanilla), you can safely replace them with other spices.

Life hack: Before pouring the spices into the pan, lightly fry them in a dry non-stick pan. This will allow the spices to better reveal their taste and aroma, so the finished mulled wine will be much richer.

If you are allergic to citrus fruits or you just don’t like oranges very much, try replacing them in your mulled wine recipe with apples. You will get an interesting fresh taste.


• 1 bottle of dry red wine
• 0.5 liters of apple juice
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 2 stars of anise
• 3 apples (preferably green)
• 100 grams of sugar
• 50 grams of fresh or frozen cranberries
• 4-5 tablespoons of orange liqueur (optional)

Cooking method:

There will be a different technique for preparing a drink. Take a saucepan, pour apple juice into it, add spices, liqueur, cranberries, apples, previously cut into thin slices, and put on the stove over low heat. Pour the wine into another container and also send it to heat. When the alcohol reaches the desired temperature (it gets hot, but does not boil), add all the ingredients from the second pan to it and let it brew for 5-7 minutes. • 2 lemons
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 4-5 buds of dried cloves
• 5-6 peas of allspice
• 1 bottle of dry red wine

• 150 ml of water

Cooking method:

Take a saucepan, put in it the lemon with the peel, previously cut into slices, cinnamon, cloves and pepper. Pour the wine over the mixture, add water and honey. • 2 cups frozen or fresh blueberries

Cooking method:
